Scuba video

Gary has been anxious to find a way to post this underwater video from Cozumel ever since he took it last February. Finally we have the ability to upload videos directly to Grandma's blog. The video was taken with his Canon SD600 in an underwater housing.

It was great to see Collin and Anna here this weekend, plus Anne and Grandma of course!

FABULOUS! BEAUTIFUL! WONDERFUL!! Looks like it was taken by a PRO! Okay - what was the name of the site? what was your depth? this looks like a great place, although I don't know that I'll ever be comfortable enough to dive in the more confined spaces (or "underneath" something big!)...What kind of fish was that about 3min in? it's fins looked funny.... Loved the shot of you looking up with all the bubbles rising... loved it ALL! thanks for sharing!!

I logged the site as "Columbia." Max depth was 87', but most of the dive was around 65'. The funny swimming fish is a trigger fish of some sort I think. I love to see them. I'm not too keen on the tight spaces either, so this dive was a bit of a challenge for me. The current was the strongest we've experienced in Cozumel, so the swim-thrus actually created a "wind break" of sorts, providing a bit of relief.
